Protect Characteristics

1: Over-voltage protection: 

When the voltage at the output of the charger reaches the protection point, now in the table below, the charger will disconnect the internal relay to cut off the output circuit, and the normal working condition can be automatically restored after troubleshooting.

2: Output Over Current Protection: When the charger output current exceeds 120% of the maximum charging current, the charger enters an overcurrent protection state and disconnects the internal relay to cut off the output circuit. Normal operation is automatically restored after the fault has been cleared. 

3: Short Circuit Protection: If the positive and negative terminals of the charger output are short-circuited, the charger will disconnect the internal relay to cut off the output circuit. The fault can be self-recovered after removal. 

4: Over-Temperature protection:  The charger automatically reduces the output current or switches off the output into standby protection when the temperature inside the case is too high by detecting the temperature, and can automatically resume charging when the temperature drops.

This 48v20a Gel Golf Cart Battery Charger has one red light and one bicolor indicator light (red and green). The red light corresponds to the power indicator light, and the bicolor light corresponds to the function indicator light.

Within 10 seconds of starting the charger, if no battery is connected, the output will be turned on for 10 seconds. If no battery is connected, the charger will enter standby mode (lead-acid enters float charge after pre-charge), and an external voltage of 5V or higher is required to wake up the charger. The charger has a pre-charge function, with a forced pre-charge time of 10 seconds and a current of about 33% CC. When switching to constant current mode, the current will gradually increase to the maximum. If the current is detected to be lower than the switching current, it is judged as fully charged and turned off. If it is a lead-acid battery, it will maintain float charge output continuously. During the full charge phase, if the battery is detected to be lower than the recharge voltage, the charger will return to standby mode. If it does not have a relay, it will be judged based on the current.
